Hello all. I started writing this blog shortly after one of the worst times in my life. We had lost our little girl in a 17 week miscarriage, and as I went through the fight of my life, I needed God to make His love and peace real to me like no other time. Through it, writing became very cathartic. (This experience is detailed in my first blog here: https://things-pondered.com/2013/08/11/a-day-i-wont-soon-forget/)
My husband Vincent and I have been married nearly 17 years. Together we have 4 kids: Grace (13), Owen (11), Sophia (5), and Declan (3 months). We also have two sweet ones waiting for us in heaven. I’m a stay-at-home/homeschool mom. Kids are amazing and ensure that life is never boring! Being a wife and mom was always my dream.
I was born and raised in a Christian home and went to church my whole life. I was very involved as I grew up but had what I would consider a surface-faith. I believed in God — but I didn’t know Him. It wasn’t until my early 20s that God upended my life. I visited my grandfather’s church where I met the person of the Holy Spirit. (I had never thought of Him as a person before.) I had never seen or experienced such a move of God! Shortly after, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, and the rest (as they say) is history.
